Do you offer exclusive use?

When you book your wedding at Stone House, the entire manor house, lawn and  gardens are exclusively yours.

Is the venue licensed for civil ceremonies?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Say “I do” in our elegant Drawing Room, licensed for civil ceremonies and seating up to 50 guests.You may also choose to hold a non-legally binding ceremony on the Lawn, in the Walled Garden or beneath a marquee. If you wish to legally marry at Stone House, you'll need to book a two-part ceremony with your registrars, allowing the legal ceremony to take place in our licensed Drawing Room.

What is the maximum guest capacity?

We can accommodate up to 50 guests for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts in the Drawing Room, and up to 90 guests for evening receptions inside the manor house. For larger celebrations, a marquee on the lawn can accommodate 100+ guests.

At Stone House, we have carefully compiled a list of approved local caterers that we can trust to deliver an exceptional service. To maintain this standard, we are unable to accommodate external caterers.

Is there accommodation ?

Stone House offers accommodation for up to 14 guests in the manor house. 
For any extra guests, we offer a glamping bell tent village in partnership with Little Bell Hotel. This provides a relaxed and convenient stay on-site and is available at an additional cost.

Can we bring in our own styling or décor?

Yes, we welcome couples to personalise the space with their own styling or a professional stylist. - We ask for any packaging that is brought to the venue that is taken away with you.

Do you have preferred suppliers?

We can recommend trusted local suppliers, but you are free to choose your own if you prefer.

Do you have a licensed bar?

Yes, fully stocked, licensed and professionally staffed bar, with all glassware provided. No corkage permitted, Our bar has everything you need.

Can we create a bespoke drinks package?

Yes, Bespoke drinks packages can be arranged on discussion, allowing you to tailor selections to suit your celebration.

Do you supply the Marquee?

No, marquees are not included in the package, we work closely with Holmsted Events who can supply your marque

Do you provide a on the day support?

Yes. Your Wedding Coordinator, Venue Coordinator, and the Stone House Team will be present throughout your wedding day.

Do we need to arrange a registrar/celebrant ourselves?

Accepted Answer

Yes, couples are responsible for booking their registrar or celebrant directly.

Are we allowed to use confetti, candles, or sparklers?

Accepted Answer

We allow using dried flowers outside, LED-candles instead of open flames, and sparklers outside.

Music can play until 11:30 PM

What happens if the weather changes for an outdoor ceremony?

Accepted Answer

In the event of unexpected weather changes, we will work with you to move the ceremony indoors (or under cover) if possible - during your planning it should be considered if a marquee or stretch tent is required depending on your guest numbers.
